James Arthur Age, Height, Weight: Born on March 2, 1988, in Middlesbrough, United Kingdom, James Arthur is an English singer and songwriter.

He developed a passion for singing at a younger age. At the age of fifteen, Arthur started writing and recording songs as an unsigned artist both solo and in many bands.

The multifaceted act has since then been consistent throughout his career rising through the ranks to become one of the most sought-after singers and songwriters.

Throughout his career, Arthur has been part of a number of music bands including; Moonlight Drive, Cue The Drama, Save Arcade, and Emerald Skye, among others

The then-promising act became a household name following his audition, participation, and winning the ninth series of The X Factor in 2012.

After the final of the X Factor, Arthur released his debut single, a cover of Shontelle’s “Impossible” and debuted at number one on the UK Singles Chart.

Since then, the song has gone on to sell over 2.5 million copies worldwide, making it the most successful winner’s single in the history of the show; X Factor.

Arthur’s debut single was released under the imprint of Simon Cowell’s record label Syco. In 2014, he parted ways with the label to sign a new deal with Columbia Records

In 2016, after opening up about his struggles with drugs, anxiety, and depression, he was made an ambassador for UK mental health charity SANE.

In February 2021, Arthur signed with Columbia Records UK and Columbia Records Germany after Syco had ceased operations.

In May 2023, James Arthur hit the headlines following his appearance in the ITV studio on Monday, May 29 with a completely different look.

The 2012 X Factor winner looked dramatically different from his X Factor days. Arthur appeared in the studio for a chat with Ranvir Singh.

A few days ago, he also made a comeback to the stage as he performed on Britain’s Got Talent where sang his new single; “A Year Ago” during the third live BGT semi-final.

After his electrifying performance, he thanked the show for having him on as well as Simon Cowell for his support over the years.
