Charlotte Gainsbourg Awards: Born on July 21, 1971, Charlotte Gainsbourg, officially known as Charlotte Lucy Gainsbourg is a British and French actress and singer.

She developed a passion for acting and singing at a younger age and at the age of 12, she made her musical debut with her father (Serge Gainsbourg) on the song “Lemon Incest”.

At the age of 15, Charlotte and her father released an album. She has since been consistent throughout her career and has risen to become one of the most sought-after acts.

She has acted in several films including; Paroles et Musique, La tentation d’Isabelle, An Impudent Girl, Charlotte for Ever, Kung Fu Master, The Little Thief, The Sun Also Shines at Night, Merci la vie, and The Cement Garden, among others.

In July 2023, Charlotte Gainsbourg hit the headlines following the demise of her mother, Jane Birkin, a highly-rated British and French singer, and actress.

Jane Birkin became a household name following her role in the 1966 film, Blow Up, in which she controversially appeared naked in a threesome sex scene.

Her acting credits included films such as; The Prodigal Daughter, Dark Places, Wonderwall, Same Old Song, Slogan, Romance Of A Horsethief, and Seven Deaths in the Cat’s Eye, among others.

As a singer, Jane attained international fame and notability for her decade-long musical and romantic partnership with Serge Gainsbourg (Charlotte’s father), a singer, songwriter, actor, composer, and director.

Jane Birkin died at 76 on Sunday, July 16, 2023. According to reports, she was found dead at home in Paris. However, the cause of her death is yet to be made public.
